The AAC presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, criticized the federal government for making another terrorism charge against the detained leader of the indigenous people of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
On Monday, the Federal government under the President Muhammadu Buhari had altered its charges against the secessionist at the Abuja Federal High Court, increasing costs to include terrorism.
Reacting, the Nigerian human rights activist criticized the government, saying that President Muhammadu Buhari’s government engaged in terrorism by allegedly abducting Kanu from Kenya.
In a post on his verified Facebook page, Sowore demanded the liberty of Kanu with the hashtag, revolution now.
The post reads, “FreeNnamdiKanu”. A government of terrorists filing frivolous terrorism charges when they are those who committed a terrorist act by abducting Kanu from Kenya and extraordinarily “returning” to Nigeria! #RevolutionNow”.
The amendment terrorism reports charges against him that come just hours before the resumption of the trial of Nnamdi Kanu as planned to appear in court on Tuesday.
