Rising Star Coco Gauff Knocks Off Naomi Osaka From Australian Open

The rising Tennis sensation Coco Gauf is the personification of identity crushed in the ongoing Australian Open, recall that she defeated international star Venus Williams in a 7-6, 6-3 defeat during the opening match of the tournament, done with taking down Venus Williams, the 15-year-old teenage American created another unexpected upset in the third round by defeating the Defending champion Naomi Osaka in a 6-3, 6-4 win on Friday thus knocking out the defending champion from the ongoing Australian Open.

 

In the course of the ongoing Australian Open, three former champions have been forced to bow out of the competition, they are Serena Williams, Caroline Wozniacki and now Osaka Maomi, recall that Wozniacki won the title in 2017 and 2018.

The talented Gauff is not meeting Osaka for the first time. During the last US Open, Coco was easily beaten by Osaka with a 6-3 6-0 result. Watchers watched as the 15-year-old took advantage of a string of backhand errors which Osaka made with her racquet, and midway through the opening set, Coco had broken through Osaka’s guard.

During the second set, Osaka who appeared to have been rattled by the feisty and dexterous play of the teenage American, could not bring herself together causing Osaka to misfire, and 67 minutes later, the game ended with Gauff overhauling Osaka in a 6-3, 6-4 win.
